1: if you use painter i think the best thing is to
start from the background. In the same time i decided to start the skin too
but do as you like ^^

2: the skin is finished! so let's begin the clothes.Start
with the color of the cloth and add details like shadows.

3: same thing add more details like "lights"
on the clothes ( here you can see it on the neck)

4: same thing on the arms. First put the color you
want (here orange) them do the shadows and finally "lights"

5: see the shoulder without shadows

6: now see it with shadows and lights
Step
7: time for the last details : i start the hair
Step
8: it's over! i finished with the last details on
the hair
